1. Are you good at remembering things?
Not really. Sometimes I could be quite forgetful, just like everyone else could be occasionally. It’s kind of annoying actually for the reason that it could be quite dangerous to forget things like turning off the gas.
2. Will you forget something important?
Absolutely. I forget to bring the umbrella with me on rainy days from time to time, which is very irritating, especially in summer. I have to rely on some apps to help me bear something significant in mind.
3. Do you often eat snacks?
To tell you the truth, I’m on a diet now. So I’ve tried my best to persuade myself to keep away from those chips and ice cream. But occasionally I just can’t resist the temptation of the high-calorie food.
4. Is it harmful to eat too many snacks?
As far as I’m concerned, the answer is yes. I believe we should keep a balanced diet and work out regularly to build up our strength. It’s also quite reasonable to have some nutritious snacks as a treat, like nuts, yogurt and chocolate.
5. Do you like rainy days?
Well, it really depends on my mood. Usually, after a long day of work, it would kill me if it were a rainy day. I just hate the gloomy atmosphere. But things would be quite different if it were on weekends.
6. What do you usually do on rainy days?
I would prefer to stay at home, listening to my favorite Jazz music if it were raining cats and dogs outside. But I would also go for a stroll if it were just drizzling.
Part 2
Describe a traditional Chinese festival
you should say
whatfestival it is
how people celebrate it
whether the way of celebration has been changed in recent years
and explain how you feel about this festival.
Well, speaking of a traditional Chinese festival, I’d like to talk about the Mid-Autumn festival, which is a harvest festival celebrated by ethnic Chinesesince ancient times.
The festival is held on the 15th day of the8th month in the Chinese lunar calendar. Generally speaking, it is a celebration of gathering, thanksgiving and praying. We consider this festival a family reunion day. As a result, no matter how far you are from your home, you should come back to celebrate it with your families.
An important part of the festival celebration is moon worship.Usually, we would indulge ourselves with some traditional snacks, like mooncakes and nuts, while enjoy the splendid view of the full moon. This tradition has lasted for thousands of years.
To tell you the truth, I’m quite fascinated by this festival because of a sad romantic story. According to the ancient legend, you can see a jade rabbit making medicine on the moon while the moon goddess Chang’estaring at his human husband in a sad way.
Part 3
1. Do you celebrate any foreign festivals?
Personally speaking, I’m not quite into foreign festivals, like Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. This is due to the fact that most of the popular foreign festivals are related to a certain kind of religion, while I am an atheist. But it is truly a good opportunity for us to do some shopping in emporia because we could get some discount on that day.
2. Do people from other countries celebrate your festival?
Well, as far as I know, it’s true that people from all over the world celebrate Chinese festivals, especially the people from Asian countries. Traditional holidays are generally celebrated in Chinese speaking regions. As the Chinese culture grows more popular, an increasing number of western people start to join these celebrations.
3. Are there any special festivals for your city or region?
Well, I’m afraid I’m not an expert of this field, but I guess… no? I suppose we celebrate the same festivals as elsewhere in China. The only distinction might be the food we eat.
