作文题目: | Some people think that nowadays children have too much freedom. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? |
题型类别: | 观点类(同意与否) |
题材类别: | 儿童自由 |
外教范文: | The world is changing at a dramatic pace, and so are the rules and norms of society. Currently, it is believed that today’s children enjoy much more independence than the children of the past generation. Here, I would like to give my observations with regards to this issue. (48 words)
There are manifold points to affirm my view. To begin with, parents these days realize that their off springs are capable of resolving matters on their own. For example, with the power of the television, cyberspace and other technical gadgets in their hands, the young generation today is more well-informed than ever. By contrast, juveniles in the past were not able to access to so much information and merely did what their parents told them to do. Consequently, children in this era are availing more of independence and freedom. In addition, because of the boom in the IT sector, children grow up quicker than their parents did and they are aware of almost everything. As a result, guardians do not hesitate in giving their children the power to make decisions. (130 words)
Furthermore, another reason that children are furnished with more freedom nowadays is that parents do not have time to supervise their kids’ activities. In this fast-paced world, both parents are working round the clock to meet the needs and desires of the family. Consequently, children are left unattended to enjoy their independence owing to the ongoing workaholic culture in society. Moreover, the change in the family structure from joint to nuclear has also led to more liberty being showered on juveniles. To justify, grandparents are no longer living with the family to keep an eye on their grandkids. Therefore, children are relishing more breathing space in the absence of such supervision. (111 words)
In conclusion, I believe that liberty provided to children these days has become an inevitable outcome of life’s changes. Hence, it is the responsibility of the parents to guarantee that excessive freedom should not be given since it may lead to a negative outcome to their children’s growth and wellbeing.
